De Keuken van Hackfort is all about 'pure delight': enjoying all the good things from the Achterhoek in their purest form. In cooperation with De Keuken van Hackfort, we created four Pure Delight cycle routes. The routes take you to places where culinary products are produced, where you can experience and taste all the good things the Achterhoek has to offer. This route takes you past four vineyards. The grapes are grown organically, with the wine farmers taking care of nature. Most of them work intensively together through the United Achterhoek Winegrowers, making the wines of very high quality. Many wines have already won international awards!

From De Keuken van Hackfort you cycle towards Zutphen. On the way, you will first pass De Fiere Vineyardhere grapes are cultivated in a natural way. During a tour of the yard you will see that attention is also paid to the nature around the vineyard. The edges of the fields are laid out as wooded banks with flowers, herbs and grains, giving birds, small mammals and insects a safe haven for food and nesting places. Owners Anita and Erik will tell you passionately about their vineyards.

On the other side of Vorden, near Kranenburg, you will find the Kranenburg vineyard. On the fertile brook clay, vintner Henk grows his green tendrils. His vineyard covers about 1.5 hectares and is surrounded by large rows of trees. You can come here for guided tours, arrangements and wine tastings. A game of skittles is also among the possibilities! A real skittle alley has been set up next to the vineyards.

For wine farm Elanova, you deviate a little from the route between junctions 64 and 67. This farm used to be a cattle farm where ruminants and pigs were kept. In 2008, a new family moved in: Rob and José. They converted the farmyard into a wine farm, giving you the illusion of being in Mediterranean surroundings. And that just in the Achterhoek! One of Elanova's white wines is available at restaurant De Keuken van Hackfort: the Moj's Kieken. This accessible wine is spicy and has the fresh taste of apples and lemon.

Finally, near Keijenborg, you pass Alma and Jan's vineyard: Vineyard Um D'n Olden Smid. This vineyard is not affiliated with the United Achterhoek Winegrowers, but it is so beautiful that you should not miss it. The historic farmhouse dates back to 1825 and has a so-called 'oldershuus' and an old grocery shop. Around the farm you will find the beautiful vineyard, an ornamental garden full of flowers, old-fashioned plants and age-old trees, a fruit orchard and a vegetable garden. From the fruit and vegetables from their own garden, they make all kinds of products and thus delicious wines from the grapes, which they offer for sale in the conservatory.

Cycle through the beautiful countryside and get off at the characteristic wine farms. Organic and sustainable grape cultivation produces wines without fuss, which is precisely why they taste so good! A cycling tour for pure delight.
