Mother the Goose is located in a characteristic half-timbered farmhouse from the 18th century. The main house, from 1740, is the oldest part of this farmstead. The stables show a variety of architectural styles. Of these, that of the present inn stands out the most. It was built as a horse stable at the end of the last century.
Outside, in the courtyard, the ‘cour dog’ pen and even the ‘huuske’, an old toilet, have been preserved. Right behind the farmstead is a still-drinking spring, the village's focal point.
The interior too is a collection of nostalgia and historical elements and exudes atmosphere.
‘Doing something very ordinary just very well is always successful’ is the credo here and maybe that's why you feel right at home here. Mother the Goose has a beer pub with countless types of beer, 12 beer taps and a restaurant for regional specialities. Outside, you'll find a winter garden, a sheltered courtyard and a meadow terrace for sun lovers.
