This scaffolding mill is located in Woudsend and was built around 1715. The mill used to run on wind power. Later, in the thirties of the 20th century, Houtzaagmolen De Jager was electrically powered. When the octagonal upper porch was repaired in 1976, the mill was able to turn on wind power again. De Jager is one of the three sawmills in Friesland. This national monument is definitely worth a visit.
