Sneek, Terherne, Goingarijp

As the name suggests, you will cycle around the Sneekermeer during this route. This vast lake offers spectacular water views, fringed by reed beds and colourful flower fields. Breathe in the fresh air as you cycle along the lake and enjoy the soothing sound of birds singing.

On the way, you will pass the cosy village of Terherne, known as the Kameleondorp, which was inspired by the famous children's book series. Make a stop and discover the adventures of Hielke and Sietse Klinkhamer, the heroes from the De Kameleon books.

Besides the lovely Frisian villages you pass through, you will also pass through the green Nature reserves Potschar and Groene dijk. Since a few years, nature has fully returned here through its protection. You can read all about this on the various information boards you come across.
