The mill was built completely new between 1985 and 1991 with some parts of other mills. The octagonal section comes from the German town of Leezen (near Hamburg). There is still a toothed ring left of the former wind rose.
The substructure is made of yellow bricks from the demolished mill hulk from Vught. Next to the windmill is the workshop of John de Jongh's millwright business. Since 2012, a bakery cum restaurant with a terrace has been established between the mill and the workshop. The flour from the mill is processed in this bakery.
