Climb the Ramspol tower to look out over the landscape of the Northeast Polder and the Kamper Island. The tower was built in the winter of 1956-1957, just after the Northeast Polder was reclaimed.
For a while, it was thought that this tower was the air watch tower used during the Cold War to spot enemy planes. This turned out not to be the case. This tower was set up specifically for recreational use and to enjoy the view. A forest near Ens did have the real air watch tower.
