VR Pole Old Dutch Water Defence Lines - Langerak
In more and more places along the Old Dutch Water Defence Lines, you will find these Virtual Reality poles. You scan the QR code on the pole with your smartphone and then place the latter in the pole's holder. If you now look through the VR glasses, you can see what this spot looked like in the seventeenth century, when the Old Dutch Water Defence Lines was fully active.
You can look 360 degrees around you and see, with beautiful illustrations, how in the Disaster Year 1672, the then Schoonhoven made its contribution in the battle against the English, the French and the dioceses of Münster and Cologne. A very fun and accessible way to learn more about the fascinating history of this area.
