Between the forests and the hedgerow landscape of the Achterhoek, lies Vineyard Hesselink. In 2004, the cultivation of the fields began, eventually covering an area of 4 hectares. Because of the chalky soil with layers of chalk more than 30 million years old, the grapes grow on a unique underground. This gives the grape a special flavour. The Dutch wines are of high quality and may therefore bear the title of Protected Designation of Origin.
Curious how everything comes together and what the end result tastes like? Book a wine tasting or tour of the vineyard. There are various arrangements. Or settle down on the terrace (open from 1 April to 31 October, in the winter months only open if the weather permits), where you can relax in the beautiful green surroundings while enjoying a wine from the vineyard.
Of course, the wines are also available in the (online) wine shop at the vineyard. This is open all year round.
