Watch Tower Vechtdal was built in 2012 to give visitors to the Vechtdal an outstanding panorama. Those who climb the 20-metre-high tower must admit that they have succeeded well. The view of the meandering river and vast surroundings is impressive. A nice bonus are the signs above indicating directions and distances to surrounding villages. Take your time to enjoy it before you start descending the 90 steps.

An interesting fact is that the construction cost of €125,000 was financed from the proceeds of the province of Overijssel's sale of shares in the energy company Essent.
