Climb the watchtower between Holmers and Halkenbroek, known as the Uitkijktoren Amerdiep, and look out over the beautiful surroundings from a height of 14 metres. The tower is high enough to look over the treetops. Here you have a view of the forestries of Grolloo, Hooghalen and Schoonloo, which together form the Hart van Drenthe nature reserve.

The special design of the watchtower won the Wood Innovation Award in 2006.
