This museum houses a permanent exhibition of a large collection of paintings created by Ootmarsum artist Ton Schulten (Ootmarsum, 25 April 1938). He creates fantasy landscapes divided into areas full of brilliant colours, drawing inspiration mainly from the Twente scenery.
His painting style is called consensualism: an expressive style, in which the artist does not strive for a correct reproduction of reality, but instead searches for inner and outer harmony in his work.
In the museum's theatre-film room, you can watch documentaries about the Twente artist.
