The Museum Factory - Enschede
Did you know that prehistoric whale bones were discovered during the construction of the Twente Canal almost a century ago? These extraordinary finds are part of the collection of De Museumfabriek in Enschede.
De Museumfabriek, formerly known as TwentseWelle, is an interactive family museum where nature, culture, science and technology come together. Located in the Roombeek district, in the remains of the former Rozendaal complex, an old textile factory, the museum offers a unique experience for young and old. Visitors can take part in various activities, such as workshops in the Makerspace, which focuses on creativity, and stargazing in its own observatory. In addition, the museum regularly organises themed holiday festivals and lectures, so there is always something new to discover.
