When you are on the Marisberg, you are at the highest point of the Peel. The area of about 19 hectares consists of heath and forest and is also called the Belgenhoekpeel. Over the mountain top there is a forest of 2.5 hectares.

Despite being on a mountain, the Marisberg is characterised as a hill with little relief and gentle slopes. The Scots pines grow in a soil of gravelly sand. The Marisberg is privately owned.
