The Kruittoren was built in 1250 and was part of the city wall of the Nieuwstad. Because of its placement, you had a large field of fire from the tower. In the Middle Ages, the armor of the archers was kept here. Later gunpowder was made here, and this is how the tower got its name. Today, explosions of creativity only take place in the Ateliermaakplaats. The Kruittoren, come in '...if you want to think further, look further and reach further!'
