Sculptor, concept developer and storyteller Tine van de Weyer has become known for his visual art commissions in public space. In Greek mythology, the naiads are water nymphs, daughters of the penamids or river gods. They guard all rivers, lakes, springs, fountains and swamps. Naiads are a recurring theme in the work of the artist. In 2000 she made 'Naiade in bassin', the leine Naiade' and the 'Muurnaiade'. These Naiads date from 1999.
