The organic farm Korenblik is adjacent to the estate of Hackfort Castle in Vorderen. Between the farmlands you find the fields where horticulturist Wim Schoemaker grows his crops. Depending on the season, a wide variety of fruit and vegetables is grown. From potatoes, broccoli, chicory, tomatoes and peppers to Korenblik's summer speciality: strawberries and raspberries. You can buy these fresh products in the farm shop. Grain products, organic dairy, eggs, meat, olive oils, juices and wines from other local farms complement the shop's range.
Besides fruit and vegetables, the farm also keeps cows and two Bonte Bentheimer pigs. All operations are carried out with nature's cycle in mind. For example, the potting shed manure produced by the cows in winter is used back on the land as fertiliser, which in turn attracts birds and insects. This creates a diverse soil life and keeps everything in balance.
