This undershoot water mill was built on the Kleine Dommel around the 11th century. Part of the mill has served as an oil, wood saw and full mill. The rear part was used as a tannery. After a fire in 1743, the mill was rebuilt as a double watermill. This water mill now has the largest water wheel in the Netherlands. Vincent van Gogh painted this mill in 1884. Since the end of 2011, the flour mill has been regularly used on a voluntary basis for grinding grain for a local baker and for sale in the mill shop. The flour mill building still contains parts of the saw mill which was located below.
