Charolais cattle are very suitable for grazing the dunes and thereby ensuring that the area does not become too overgrown. This is not desirable for some plants and animals and we all want to preserve these species.
The Charolais have a useful function and are also great to look at. Especially the bulls are true bullies. Their rutting roar can scare the hell out of you. The cows and calves are not bad either, so it is a good thing they are behind a solid fence.
Watching is fortunately harmless, and what could be more beautiful than white cattle in a multi-coloured dune landscape?
