Lightship 12 Noord Hinder was built in 1963. Until 1994, it served as a landmark on the North Sea at various locations, including in the vicinity of the dangerous Belgian banks off the Zeeland coast. In 1994, the Noord Hinder was the last Dutch lightship to be permanently removed from the sea and replaced by a light buoy. It is now moored as a museum ship and is open to the public. A visit is not only very educational, but it is also adventurous. For example, you can climb the light tower, or pay a visit to the galley or the lookout.
