Just across the border at Breklenkamp, in the eastern tip of Overijssel, lies the German village of Lage. The official town name is Herrlichkeit Lage, which refers to the time of the Thirty Years' War. It is certainly worthwhile to cycle towards the village. How nice it is to tell people that you crossed the border on your bicycle. With just over a thousand inhabitants, it is a cosy and pleasant village.
