The daily fresh milk from the Weipoort is the main raw material for this delicious farmhouse ice cream. Ice cream must contain at least 8% milk fat to be called ice cream. As whole milk is not fat enough by itself, cream is added. Sorbet ice cream contains no milk, but is based on fruit and water. So it is also suitable if you have a milk allergy!
During the summer months, you are welcome in this ice cream parlour on the Weipoortseweg. They offer a wide range of traditionally and purely prepared scoop, cream and sorbet ice cream from their own kitchen. IJsboerderij De Jong prepares the ice cream with fresh cow's milk, which they obtain from the Ammerlaan company's farm. Besides artisan scoop ice cream, you can also get soft ice cream here, prepared according to their own recipe.
You can also choose a delicious sandwich (to be ordered between 12.00 and 14.30). In fact, IJsboerderij De Jong has a small lunch menu. Or feast on the freshly baked apple and carrot cakes, made by entrepreneurs around the corner. The perfect treat alongside your cup of coffee!
