The Aardhuis N°15 is a special location in the forests of the Crown Estate Het Loo, the largest estate in the Netherlands. King Willem III gave the order to build the Aardhuis in 1861. Among other things, military meetings were held there. Later, Prince Hendrik furnished it as his hunting chalet, but at the request of Queen Juliana, it was converted into an information centre on nature and wildlife in 1972. The royal family has continued the tradition as an educational centre.

On the ground floor, you will find the N°15 Food & Drinks Restaurant with a delicious, surprising menu. On the first floor is the visitors' centre. Here, various exhibitions show how the Crown Estate originated and how it has developed over the years. You will also find a room here as King Willem III left it.
