Grindery-Mill de Hoop - Oud-Zevenaar
In 1850, the mill was built in Oud-Zevenaar. The Pijnappel family of millers and bakers bought the mill in 1852. Around 1900 the family also owned the mills of Babberich, Ooy, Duiven, Pannerden, Klarenbeek and Posterenk. Until 2014 the mill was owned by this family. In that year it was bought by the Botter family.
As with many mills, there was a miller's business that was simultaneously a bakery and farm. And still is, because the mill is still used as a gristmill (place where grain is ground). In the mill shop, various baking mixes ground by the mill are sold for home bakers. Quality is of paramount importance, and you can taste it. You are welcome to visit the mill, the millers welcome you with open arms!
