Goat Farm De Mèkkerstee - Ouddorp

Just outside Ouddorp you will find the organic goat farm De Mèkkerstee. This is an excellent location to visit with the children. In addition to a look behind the scenes of the goat farmer, you can play extensively in the playground, rummage around in the country store, or have a snack or drink in the restaurant.

About 650 goats live a luxurious life in their modern stable with a real goat wellness area! The goats are fed their own grass-clover with herbal hay. This combination makes for the best milk. You can watch the goat milking up close daily at 3:30 pm.

Each year, lambs are born and raised in a separate nursery. There you can admire the cute little ones up close. If there are many lambs, a special cuddling corner is set up for visitors. But in addition to the goats, you can also cuddle other farm animals in the petting zoo. The chickens, horses, guinea pigs, a pig and many other animals are happy to greet you.

The Mèkkerstee is a great place for a family outing, as well as for a break along the way. Try one of their artisan homemade scoop ice cream flavors, made from their own goat's milk. In addition, they make their own goat cheese. These and other activities on the farm are supported by people with mental disabilities, so De Mèkkerstee also functions as a care farm.
