Fort aan den Ham is a relatively small fort of the Defence Line of Amsterdam and served as a defence for the railway Krommenie-Uitgeest. It was built between 1896 and 1903. Because it only had lifting turret artillery, a secondary battery was built behind which additional artillery could be positioned.
It now houses a military museum, an exhibition area and the Scouting Museum.
