When Elburg was still on the Zuiderzee, the region did not only live from fishing. A little further from the coast, in places like Oldenbroek, agriculture was also an important source of income.
In the farm museum, visitors get a good idea of farm life as it used to be. About 100 years ago, a family with children lived in the farmhouse from the year 1753. In the beautiful room with antique tiles, they left their belongings. It looks like they just left. The grandparents' photos still hang on the wall and the bedstead is made up. In the small cellar are the weck bottles with vegetables and fruits from the garden.
