Cycle route through three villages and one city
Nunspeet, Oldebroek, Elburg
A diverse cycle route through three noteworthy villages and one historic city! Nunspeet is an esdorp on the edge of the Veluwe. Many painters spent their time near Nunspeet in the period 1880-1950. Their works can be seen in the North Veluwe Museum.
Did you know that Nunspeet has its own visitor centre on the Veluwe? Discover there how this beautiful nature reserve was created and interrupt your cycle route for a beautiful walk that starts here. Also cycle past the VVV tourist office in Nunspeet where you can discover much more about this diverse village on the Veluwe.
The cycle route also takes you through 't Harde, which is best known for its barracks and artillery shooting range. Along the way, unwind at the herbs and plants of A. Vogeltuinen between 't Harde and Oldebroek.
The village of Oldebroek has become the seat of the municipality of the same name. You will discover the history of this farming area at Boerderijmuseum De Bovenstreek.
Then you come to the city on this route: Elburg. The old town centre with its square building is a protected townscape. Visit Museum Sjoel here for a historical perspective on a current theme: integration and tolerance. The beautiful Vischpoort and the large Sint Nicolaaskerk are the two - very photogenic - eye-catchers of the town.
With so much diversity during one route, the stomach also needs to be filled - this has also been thought of on this cycle route.
