Between the Maria Church and the Didam Protestant congregation lies the Dominee Stork Park. A small city park right in the centre of Didam, a kind of mini oasis of tranquillity. At the beginning of the park is a statue in concrete granulate of the Little Wive of Diem. The statue by artist Karl van Beek symbolises all the caring, kind and hardworking women of Didam.
In the park itself, you will find a bronze bust of the park's namesake: Reverend Stork. Reverend G.J.B. Stork was pastor of the reformed congregation from 1907 to 1943 and, with this bust by artist Geert Vreeman, is posthumously honoured for his many achievements. The pastor died in 1951.
