De Pere mill - Oost-Souburg
The tower mill, dating from 1725, stands on a site where there was already a mill. What is striking about De Pere is that it stands on a stone base and has a platform in front of the entrance. Above the entrance door on the south, a partly yellow and red tower is placed in relief on a two-tone background. On both sides of the facing brick, which is borrowed from the municipal coat of arms, it says 1725. In 1983, the municipality of Vlissingen purchased the mill, which underwent extensive restoration in 1987. Now it is, besides a beautiful mill, a home bakery shop and a Pet shop.
