Brasserie De Broeders - Sterksel
From 1919 to 1990, the Brothers of St Joseph, at this beautiful monastery in Sterksel in the province of Noord-Brabant, nursed epileptic patients. They called this institution Huize Providentia, meaning Divine Providence. In 1990, the last friar left Huize Providentia and it became a secular institution.
But the Brothers are back! Today, this impressive location is home to lunch restaurant Brasserie De Broeders, with a delicious lunch and dinner menu. But you are also welcome at De Broeders for a nice cup of coffee with a piece of homemade cake or their own exclusive monastery beer!
The location is perfect for walkers and cyclists who want to explore the beautiful surroundings. And want to meet new people? Then sit down at the monastery table and start a pleasant conversation with the residents of Kloostervelden.
