Brakel Estate features a woodlands park, castle ruins, a moat and old kitchen gardens with a wealth of different plants. Furthermore, there are old orchards to admire and there is a newer area in the park boasting leaf trees, flower meadows and a pond. The ruins consist of two circular corner towers with a wall inbetween. This wall used to be the outer wall of the residential building. These are the parts that remained after French troops had blown up the stronghold in 1672.
