Van Gogh cycle route ‘s-Hertogenbosch
's-Hertogenbosch, Vught, Boxtel
's-Hertogenbosch has a rich history dating back to the year 1185. Within the city walls, 's-Hertogenbosch has largely retained its medieval structure. It is a beautiful fortified city full of monuments, but it is also the city of contemporary art, high-tech companies, hip concept stores, trendy fashion stores, beautiful boutiques, cozy pubs, tasteful restaurants, the Binnendieze and a multitude of art and culture.
This Van Gogh bike route starts at the North Brabant Museum. You will experience a part of the cultural and historical scenery of the city, but in no time you will be immersed in the breathtaking nature around Den Bosch, Vught, Esch, Boxtel and Sint-Michielsgestel.
You pass, among others, the nature reserves De Moerputten and the Vughtse Heide, National Monument Kamp Vught, recreation area the IJzeren Man and the nature reserve Bossche Broek.
I like it here in Brabant, at least I find the nature here very stimulating. Vincent van Gogh to Antoine Furnee (a painter friend from The Hague), Nuenen, January 1884
