Putten is a charming Veluwe village, surrounded by a varied landscape of vast forests, rolling heathlands and open polders. The area is home to several historic estates, including Landgoed Oldenaller and Oud Groevenbeek. At Oldenaller, you’ll find an elegant 17th-century castle built in Dutch Renaissance style. With its moat, long driveway and surrounding park forest, the estate still breathes the atmosphere of centuries past. Oud Groevenbeek is just as impressive, with its art nouveau villa and orchards – a great example of the wealth of country estates around Putten. These estates aren’t just interesting from a cultural and historical perspective, they’re also valuable nature reserves.
