What could be better than to go in search of the history of buildings, collections and lifestyles of our own country. For example, Kasteel Nijenhuis and Havezate den Alerdinck were built around the 17th century and many different noble families have lived here throughout the centuries. If we continue to the 18th century during this cycle route, we come to the history of the Windesheimer Mill which was built in 1748. In Museum De Laarman you go back to the farmers' life in the 18th and 19th century. How these farmers worked in the 18th and 19th century you will discover at this museum in Luttenberg with a large collection of objects, documents and prints. If you cycle through Raalte, you will come across the American Motorcycle Museum on the Zwolsestraat, where a collection of motorbikes is on display with a history dating from the early 1900s to the 1980s. Enough to discover in Overijssel, get on your bike and find out the history of this area.
