Oosterhout is known for its hospitality and conviviality, as the national anthem reads: "Oosterhout, so irresistible, because: you really can't go past that". Nature is also sung about in the anthem. Forests, purple moors, monasteries, parks, the basilica, sand and clay. You read it: it is definitely worth exploring this city and its surroundings by bike. Besides Oosterhout, this cycle route takes you through the wooded village of Ulvenhout, where you will feast your eyes on the green landscape and beautiful views. The breathtaking Ulvenhout Estate is definitely a recommendation! After Ulvenhout, the route continues through picturesque Gilze-Rijen. Although these villages make up one municipality, they each have their own charm, such as the majestic Chaamse woods and, near Rijen, the stunning De Duiventoren forest area. Along the way, you will also come across several country houses and nature gates.
