Organic cycle route in the Amstelveen area
Amstelveen, Hoofddorp, Lijnden
This cycle route goes largely through the outlying areas of Amstelveen and Hoofddorp and the Amsterdam forest. You will cycle past organic farms, a farmers' market and a goat farm, among others. Get off your bike nicely several times along the way, to visit the stalls and buy their delicious organic products on the spot. Every Tuesday, you can visit the Organic Farmers' Market in the centre of Amstelveen. Cycling this route in spring? Then be sure to make time for the Blossom Park in the Amsterdamse Bos. Here there are as many as four hundred cherry trees, which colour the park a beautiful white-pink. In May, flowering rhododendrons contribute their purple there. Do you have even more room in your pannier and is your battery far from empty? Then cycle from junction 84, via 60, 61, 67 and 66, to junction 87, which is just under ten kilometres longer and then you can include Wijngaard de Amsteltuin on your route, completely in the theme.
