Grolloo, Schoonloo, Borger
Grolloo is known to blues fans as the hometown of Harry Muskee, the singer and founder of Cuby & the Blizzards. He lived here and his farm was also the rehearsal space of the band. Undoubtedly Harry got inspiration for the album 'Groten uit Grollo' (with one o) during tours through this area. This region is of course also known for its dolmens. During this cycle route you will pass the Hunebedcentrum and see how the Hunebed builders used to live. You will cycle through lots of nature and you can stop off at 't Nije Hemelriek, an exotic surprise in the Drenthe countryside. The forestry in Grolloo and the Boomkroonpad in Drouwen are also special places to stop for a break.
