On April 1, 1572, the Sea Beggars Lumey and Bloys van Treslong conquered the city of Brielle from the Spaniards and this can still be seen in the beautiful monuments and buildings in the city. But Oostvoorne also has a special history. In fact, it was the only place in the Netherlands where you could drive your car onto the beach. But in 1992, a group of people thought this was out of date and it took until 2004 before the province decided to turn it into a bird area. Now you can enjoy the peace and nature and spot beautiful birds that have made their home here. So get off your bike and discover these special places.
