Cycle route to the Oisterwijk forests
Tilburg, Oisterwijk, Haaren
During this cycle route you will pass the Belversven and the Kolkven. The origin of these fens is not certain, but because there are both stream valleys and areas of drifting sand in the immediate vicinity, it is assumed that there are both drained lowlands and stream valley fens. The Oisterwijk forests almost connect to the Kampina, another beautifully varied nature reserve. Oisterwijk regularly hosts performances and events in its charming city centre. In Haaren, you can cycle along the Esschestroom. This 7-kilometre-long river is formed by the Voorste Stroom and the Achterste Stroom and a little further on, it absorbs the Rosep, the Nemer and, just before Esch, the Kleine Aa. A wonderful cycle route to relax and unwind! If you start the route at junction 93, you will find plenty of parking space along Kalverstraat.
