Leave the hustle and bustle of Eindhoven behind and discover the natural beauty of this region. You pass the Oirschotse Heide, Straatse Heide and Oostelbeerse Heide. This is an area of approximately 1440 hectares, with a lot of heathland and shifting sand. The area used to be called 'the white mountains'. The Oirschotse Heide is regularly used as a military training area, so it is not always freely accessible. This route leads you along the Wilhelmina canal, with the passing port of Oirschot. The village of Oirschot is a special place. The protected villagescape and more than 300 national and municipal monuments make this destination more than worth the cycle route!
