Soest, Baarn, Lage Vuursche
Along the Amsterdamsestraatweg between Baarn and Soest, you will find Soestdijk palace. Thanks to sculptor Kees Verkade, Queen Juliana and Prince Bernhard cheerfully wave at you. You cannot currently go inside because of a major renovation. However, the beautiful park can be admired during the summer months. In Lage Vuursche, you cycle past Drakensteyn Castle, the address where Princess Beatrix took up residence after her abdication. Unfortunately, the little castle cannot be seen from the public road and you probably understand that you cannot look inside. Therefore, we have added some other beautiful castles to this route that you can admire, such as Groeneveld Castle and De Hooge Vuursche Castle. Enjoy the beautiful surroundings on this castle route.
