Cycle route Visiting Joe and Antony
Schijndel, Liempde, Eerde
For cyclists who do like a bit of history, we definitely recommend a visit to Joe and Antonius. In Nijnsel you will find the Antonius van Paduakerk with a small park behind it. In that park is a niche with balkadine, also called the green cathedral. An open-air mass is held here annually in honor of Antonius van Padua. In Eerde stands the St. Antonius Mill; badly damaged by war at the time. The American paratrooper Joe Mann got his own monument in Best and there is a nature theater named after him.
