Cycle through the Frisian countryside and discover all the beauty that awaits you along the way. During this route, you can enjoy nature, with nice spots here and there to stop and take in the view. Think about Viewpoint Malewei, where you can look for kilometres across meadows and water. Or how about the Burgumer Mar Lookout Tower? If you climb up there, you really do get a wonderful view! The heart of this route lies in the National Landscape Noardlike Fryske Wâlden. This area really is a picture: narrow roads, wooded banks and meadows alternate. For bird lovers, there are several places where you can spot special species, such as at the bird-watching huts on the Burgumer Mar or in the Soestpolder. Just sit still and watch what passes by, which bird will you spot first? Along the way, there are plenty of places to take a break and take in the scenery. Whether you take a break at bird hide De Dunen or admire the view from watchtower De Putten, the Frisian landscape never ceases to surprise. If you come by car, you can park conveniently at Mienskerwei 10 in Eastermar.
