Meierijstad is one of the most enterprising 'food & feed' municipalities in Europe. With more than 700 companies, the agricultural sector here is very large. A number of recognisable giants, such as Jumbo, Sligro, Friesland Campina and AgriFirm, are located in Meierijstad. They often originated as local family businesses that have grown into international concerns.

Cycle through Brabant's hub system of industrial heritage in the port of Veghel to plenty of tasty stepping stones. From fresh fruit and homegrown asparagus, local beers brewed from original recipe and whole milk and farm butter, to Michelin-listed restaurants: nothing is too crazy during this cycle route!
