Farm life cycle route in Gelderland

Wageningen, Lunteren, Ede
Cycle through the agricultural region of the Gelderse Vallei and pass through the villages of Ederveen, Lunteren, Wageningen and Ede. This area is known for its vast meadows, flowering fields and characteristic farms, where food production has been a labour of love for generations.
The route takes you through the countryside, past one of the oldest mills in the Netherlands and a historic castle. Along the way, you can step into the cheese maker's clogs and participate in a cheese or butter making workshop in a traditional cheese dairy. In Bennekom you will cycle past the Buitenhorst farm shop, where you can enjoy fresh local products such as herbs, tea, dairy products and homemade pastries.
Would you like to learn even more about farming in the past? Then a visit to the De Grote Glind farm museum is highly recommended. Here you can discover in a unique way how farmers used to work and live. Please note: this museum farm is not directly on the route, but it is well worth the small detour!
