Zuidwest Drenthe has a rich past. In the Middle Ages, this area was governed by high lords who lived in beautiful estates and manor houses. While cycling, Dieuwertje Blok takes you along these locations, where you can dismount at some and take a tour.
In the historic village of Ruinen, with a past as Hooge Heerlyckheid, you can visit the Maria church on some days. And don't skip the terraces either!
