The region around Aarle-Rixtel and Gemert is a wonderful place to explore, with a unique mix of history and nature. The Missionary Convent Heilig Bloed in Aarle-Rixtel, built in 1903, demonstrates the sisters' worldwide commitment to education and care. There are also fine walking and cycling routes in the area to explore the nature and landscape. In Gemert you will find the Former Nazareth Convent, founded in 1848 by the Franciscan nuns. The green surroundings with its peaceful paths complete it. As icing on the cake, the Kloosterkasteel in Gemert should not be missed during your exploration. Built in 1391 by the Teutonic Order, this impressive Castle combines medieval charm with the grandeur of 18th-century Louis XIV style. Surrounded by a moat and beautiful gardens, the Castle offers not only a glimpse of history, but also an atmospheric setting to enjoy the surroundings.
