Cycling to Laren

During this cycling route, you pedal through the beautiful Gelderland landscape towards Laren, not the artist village in Gooi, but the village surrounded by meadows in the municipality of Lochem. This picturesque village has been mentioned in documents since the end of the 13th century, and this is evident in the many old farms and houses that adorn the village. Along the way, you will come across various delightful stops where you can relax or learn more about the area. For example, you can stop at the Haarbroekse Vijvertuin, where you can take a walk through the proverb garden. Here, various proverbs are depicted with objects from the farmland. Are you a fan of art? Then indulge yourself at Museum MORE in Gorssel. This museum houses both changing collections and permanent exhibitions and is known as the largest museum for Modern Realism in Europe. Thanks to the relatively short distance of the cycling route, you have plenty of time to look around and enjoy the art.
