Castle Eijsden is located in one of the southernmost villages of Limburg: Eijsden. The magnificent structure dates back to the 17th century. The castle exudes a sense of grandeur, with its stately towers and elegant architecture. From here you have a fantastic view over the river Meuse. Around the castle, you cycle through an oasis of greenery and tranquillity. In the small village of Mheer, you pass the castle of the same name. The elegant castle has been watching over the Limburg landscape for over six centuries. The battlements, several towers and the architectural style, is romantic. As if it came straight out of a fairy tale! Neubourg Castle is located like a jewel in the picturesque village of Gulpen. It's imposing tower and stately facades can be seen from afar as you cycle along the winding banks of the river Gulp. Finally, the hamlet of Rijckholt is home to the castle of the same name. The combination of building styles from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance immediately attracts attention. Looking out from the surrounding hills at this gem of a castle, it is as if you have gone back in time.
