When you think of Hoorn, you think of the Golden Age. The rich history of this area can still be felt in many places. Hop on your bike and experience the Golden Age in Hoorn and Alkmaar: a cycling route with many monuments, museums and of course enough locations where you can eat, drink or spend the night. How about the typical Dutch Renaissance facade of the Statenlogement? Or that of the Westfries Museum where you can immerse yourself in the wealth of the Golden Age. You can do so as well at Museumhuis Bonck, an old merchant's house where time stood still. A total of 16 Golden Age icons can be found in the region. These icons can also be recognized by the gold coins in the pavement. You will find them at the stop points on this route.
